Friends Of St. Vincent Pallotti

St. Vincent Pallotti’s dream was to enable lay people to assume their proper role in the mission of the Church and to establish a community to translate his vision into reality. The Pallottines were founded to remind the Church that the lay people are essential members and that, together with clergy and those in consecrated life, we are all sent as apostles for the Church and the World. To this end, our parishioners join with One Voice to save our vibrant and growing site of worship.

Read the church bulletin & inserts … they provide important updates on the events and communications of this week. Since the bishop announced that we would be the seat of the parish, we will only publish the UNA VOCE when important news or new information is available. Holy Hour of Thanksgiving Scheduled For Wednesday, Nov. 10th
We have scheduled a Holy Hour of Thanksgiving, to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, on Wednesday
evening, November 10, 2010 at 7pm. This Holy Hour, as promised, is being held to give thanks to
Our Lady for her intercession, and to recognize Bishop Joseph A. Galante’s announced intention to
name St. Vincent Pallotti church as the seat of the new parish. We hope that you will take time to
join us at the church at 7pm for this very special occasion.
We will bring the Holy Hour to a close, weather permitting, by disposing of the blessed crosses that
stood so beautifully on the church grounds for over two years. They have served their purpose, and
since they are blessed, they will be disposed of by burning them in a drum, then respectfully burying
the ashes.
Afterwards there will be a reception in Memorial Hall. Refreshments will be served and there
will be an opportunity for everyone to ask questions about the status of our actions to save our
parish. We have been so blessed, and what better way to say “thank you” to Our Lady than to
share time in prayer with friends and fellow parishioners.

Thank You!
Once again, on behalf of the parish, The Friends of St. Vincent Pallotti Inc. wishes to thank Bishop Joseph A.
Galante for his wisdom and understanding. We acknowledge the courageous efforts of our Core Team, and
especially the tireless efforts of our pastor, Father Walter Norris, in bringing this matter of the parish seat to its
logical conclusion. We look forward to working with our fellow parishioners at St. Aloysius to support the
bishop’s plans for the diocese. Finally, the Friends of St. Vincent Pallotti thanks all of you, not only for your
prayers and support, but especially for the respectful manner in which you approached the bishop and his
advisors. You are to be commended!
